These fun roads were responsible for taking us to and from a little town where we met a good friend of mine from my time at school in Lausanne. We met Lynn, her husband Hao and their two kids - Rylan (3.5) and Tessa (18 months) - at a little zoo in Arth-Goldnau, where we had four hours of kid-centric fun. The kids go to run, play and feed the deer while Lynn and I caught up.
With two tired kids in the back, we decided to take a more scenic route home and travel over one of the high mountain passes. These passes are usually closed in the winter because of the snow and increased danger of driving them. Despite the clouds, the drive was beautiful and we stopped for lots of photo breaks. Surprisingly, Noah stayed awake the whole time and (as Murphy's Law states) only fell asleep when we were 5 minutes from home.
